The Voice

If you’re like me then you enjoy watching music competitions like American Idol, X-Factor and The Voice. The Voice is completely different where 4 artists of different genres listen to the performers at the blind auditions without looking at their physical appearance. They base their decision solely on "the voice" and nothing else. If two artists turn their chair around then they give the competitor the chance to decide which team or artist they want to belong to.

First Stage: Blind auditions

Second stage: Battling

Apple: Magic Mouse

Apple, being one of the most profitable companies in the world, has become hugely popular in Kuwait (one of the few habas I've actually encouraged ;p). Undoubtedly, its products are revolutionary and of the highest quality. I bought the Magic Mouse months ago, and now I can't live without it. I found using the MacBooks trackpad difficult because of the size, but I didn't want to compromise with the amazing features and how used to them I got (whenever I'd use a Windows I'd find myself constantly correcting myself because of the convenience Apple developed with using finger motions on the trackpad). The Magic Mouse has everything the normal Mac trackpad has and more, and not only that, would you take a look at it seriously.. it's a piece of art!
Bottom line folks, if you're an advocate Mac user, I would highly recommend you getting your hands on this handsome devil.

Ombre Everywhere!

Ombre is basically a French term for shaded, or when a color gradually changes from light to dark. Ok so enough about ombre hair raging in the past season. Now it’s about time to stock up on those beautiful colored ombre pants, shirts, and sweaters! This season ombre is anywhere from nails to clothes. Here are some of my favorite pieces for this season.

Fun mint and navy pants from Zara

White and blue ombre shirt from Zara

Urban Fruit: Must have!

Came across Urban Fruit a few months ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. If you’re a bit of a health freak like myself (that’s what I tell myself anyway:)), Urban Fruit is a great thing to snack on. They’re sweet and come in a bunch of different fruit. My favourites are the mango and pineapple, and I will be open to any free life-time supplies :) .. any Urban Fruit employees out there?.. no?

Artist behind the 360 Chandeliers

Most of you probably know what I’m talking about when I refer to the orange and blue huge chandeliers hanging in 360. What most of you don’t know is the artist behind them, Dale Chihuly. American-born artist known for his exquisite glasswork, he influenced contemporary art and how we view glass sculptures. These are some of his installations that he’s famous for. If you want to know more about Dale Chihuly visit his website: http://www.chihuly.com/

Homers' Donuts: They're Real!

So the other day I was doing the weekly shopping & came across these bad boys. You're going to hear this a lot from me, but I think the packaging of products makes all the difference. Unfortunately, we lack this somewhat in Middle Eastern products, but I must say European and American companies put a lot of thought into the appearance of their products and go all-out. Even the simplest of items have attractive wrapping that catch consumers attention. So you'll probably be seeing a lot of random products here.. Oh ya, the donuts weren't bad either ;p
