Have you tried Vitamin Water?

Although I haven't seen Vitamin Water in Kuwait, it has been advertised pretty aggressively by celebrities (e.g. 50cent and Ellen Degeneres) mainly in America. Personally, I'm a fan of the flavoured-water concept. The flavours (that come in about 14 different types.. wayd.) are not too strong so you can gulp it back like water if you're on the go. Also, I love how the information about the vitamins is displayed on the label, it's clear and simple and tells you all you need to know.

Aaron Kinnane is known for using vibrant and lively colors in his paintings or photographs. He usually takes a specific subject and produces series of artwork in that particular theme. Recently he's portraying a myriad of horses vibrantly against a dark background which I found to be beautifully portrayed and bold.

Headphones: Marshall

I think headphones have recently reached new heights regarding their popularity. With so much competition I think the quality of sound has taken a back seat to image and comfort. Mainly known for their rock 'n' roll speakers that bands have been using for decades, Marshall have come out with headphones. I've seen a few people with them, and I must say they look amazing with an oh-so-cool vintage look. The packaging is old school and I love how they kept the theme especially with the leather finishing.  

Food: Lollipops

Got a gift of one of these book marks a few months ago. They're stainless steel so they're durable. Love the idea.. and they look so nice when they're sticking out of a book. 

Design: Float Sofa by Karim Rashid

I think these sofas are beautiful masterpieces that completely stand out on their own. Karim Rashid brought the beautiful islamic geometric patterns in the pillows and left everything else so simple and modern.

Trouble finding a thoughtful gift?

London: Hollister Store Opening

Not something you see every day on Regents Street ;p

 Models/Hollister employees lined outside the store clapping and giving people high fives as they walked by.. reminded me of Apple every time they introduce a new product.

Event: Teanna tanning oil @ 52 Degrees

     

We went to the Teanna tanning oil launch in 52 Degrees by Sara Al Yagout. Its basically an organic tanning oil made from natural ingredients which gives you a natural bronze glow. Dying to try it for the summer as I heard excellent reviews!

MacBook: Carbon Fiber Leather Cover

Carbon fiber seems to be coming in all shapes and sizes, cars, phones and now laptops. I've been wanting to purchase the cover, but I could only find ones where the Apple logo is a circle (e.g. the first picture below). I think its unattractive to have a circle border around the logo, and would prefer if it had none (e.g. the last picture). 

Besides that I love the design. It's simple, durable (perfect if you take your laptop everywhere with you) and you can't get a more modern and sophisticated look than metal and leather all wrapped up in one product.
