The Leather Jacket

Leather jackets come in all shapes and sizes, with studs, shoulder pads and way more zippers and buttons than needed. Nevertheless, I must say leather jackets have made a huge comeback. They look amazing with maxi dresses, trousers, jeans, tracksuits and shorts (ok maybe not so much the shorts, but you get my point :)).
So feast your eyes on these beautiful monstrosities below..

H&M Exclusive Conscious collection in stores April 12th!

H&M is stepping their game up a notch by launching the formal conscious collection. I think some of the pieces are simple yet beautiful. More importantly the cause behind the collection is to reduce the impact on the environment by using recycled materials. I think it’s a great marketing strategy for people who are environmentally concerned, which we unfortunately lack in Kuwait.

Under-ation Continue-ation: Yellow & Gray

When you think of pairing colours up, the obvious usually come to mind; red and white, white and black ect.. Over the past few years I’ve developed a passion for matching colours that aren’t as common and sometimes even border line clash, whether it's decorating a room or putting together an outfit. One of my favorite pairs is definitely yellow and gray. Surprisingly, they compliment each other beautifully, and are perfect for spring and summer. So next time you go out, try to match colours that aren’t the usual and you might get onto something ;)
Below are a few examples. You can thank me later J

Eye-catching Ad: Riviera Prive Beirut

When you first glance at these huge vinyl stickers, you would think that they’re a campaign for sunglasses.  They’re actually a campaign to promote an exclusive beach, pool and lounge area in Lebanon’s famous Riviera Hotel. They’re put in popular places in Beirut to attract attention, especially since the Riviera Hotel is a place to see and be seen. I think it's creative, but the ad would be more effective if it were for a sunglasses store.

Covers: Underrated

I’ve come across a fair share of covers. For artists who makeshift studios in their living rooms and put their own spin on mainstream songs, some of them I must say, are better than the original song. So this clip is a perfect example of just that. Her voice and a single piano.. perfection.
Enjoy!

The Hummingbird Bakery: The reason behind the long line

Recently stopped by the Hummingbird Bakery, and like most passer-by's couldn't resist going inside (can you blame me?). So I’ve tried a few of their flavors before, but their best seller, which is also a hugely popular choice in Kuwait, the red velvet cupcake & cake, are by far the best things they offer. The icing is perfection all by itself, and the cake part is impeccably moist. Conclusion, although you’re probably going to be waiting in a line for at least 10 minuets (its worth it.. I promise!), the store itself is magnificent. With an array of all their cakes on display (simultaneously, they may all break into song and ask you to take them home), again this highlighting how presentation makes all the difference.
Rating? 9/10
